Air Fryer Honey Garlic Salmon is that sweet-savory dinner that tastes like you fussed over it but really came together in one bowl and one basket. The glaze caramelizes fast in the air fryer, giving you sticky edges and tender, flaky fish without babysitting the stove. It is a solid pick for busy weeknights when you want real food on the table quickly.

About 15 minutes start to finish, including whisking the glaze and air frying.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz salmon
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Whisk honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice.
  2. Pat salmon dry and brush with glaze.
  3. Air fry at 400F for 8-9 minutes until flaky.
  4. Spoon remaining glaze over top and serve.

Meal prep & storage

You can double the batch and cook up to four fillets at once if your air fryer has the room, or mix the glaze ahead and store it in a jar for up to a week. Cooked salmon keeps well in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 to 3 days, or freeze portions for up to 2 months. Reheat gently at 300F in the air fryer for 3 to 4 minutes so the fish stays moist and the glaze re-crisps.

Swaps

Swap salmon for trout, arctic char, or even skinless chicken thighs, adjusting the cook time until cooked through. Maple syrup works in place of honey, and tamari or coconut aminos step in nicely for soy sauce if you need it gluten-free. Fresh minced ginger alongside the garlic is a great add-in if you want a little more warmth in the glaze.
